Neurology examines the disorders and clinical syndromes emerging as a result of various causes related to the anatomical and physiological features of the nervous system.
Neurology is a branch of medical science, which generally examines the diseases of the brain, brainstem, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system and muscles. It also includes treatment applications other than diagnosis and surgical intervention. Neurology over time has ceased to be a closed and limited branch and is divided into subdisciplines that require special expertise such as; epilepsy, movement disorders, cerebrovascular diseases, dementia, sleep disorders.
The EEG or EMG laboratory that is necessary for the treatment of diseases in all these areas, became an integral part of the neurology department.
